Hallo, ich bin Tina!
I thought it would be fun to do a short blog post filled with some interesting facts and stories about myself, so, los gehts!
- When I am very drunk, I like to whisper
Hahahah for some reason, I feel like I need to be quiet, so I start whispering so everyone knows everything is okay. (I am a little tipsy right now too.) Lol
- When I was 15, I went to jail for one night – real, American jail
I am not a criminal and I did not really do anything wrong, besides not going to school. In America, it is very easy to go to jail, and I was there for missing a court date. It was only for one night, but it was the most terrifying night of my life.
- When I was a kid and my mom told me to take a shower, I would go in the bathroom, turn the water on, and sit on the toilet for 20 minutes without taking a shower
For some reason, I hated taking showers when I was about 10-15 years old. I have no idea why, but to me, it was too much work. I was not smelly, and I was relatively clean, so why take a shower? Now, I shower everyday – no worries guys. Hahahaha but I do not really like to brush my teeth unless I am leaving my house, which is not very often because of corona. Lol
- In middle school, I did not know people said ‘thank you’ after someone said ‘happy birthday’
So, I would just look at them and smile. The funniest part was, I loved my birthday and I would wear a crown and sash that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY on it, so everyone knew it was my birthday. Hahahaha
- I really, really, really, like speaking German. 🙂
German is SUCH a hard language and it sounds SO cool, so of course I love it. I really enjoy doing difficult things and then being successful at them, so I am going to keep learning German until I am just as funny in German, as I am in English.
- Ich bin sehr unabhängig
My mom and grandma, (in the picture above,) are the strongest, most independent women I know, and taught me the importance of being independent. I often get asked how I moved to Germany alone when I was 23 and how I have accomplished so many feats in my life, my answer is always simple, I just did it. Due to the immense level of success that was shown to me from my mom and grandma, I learned how to do the difficult things in life. Moving to Germany was not hard for me because I saw my mom do so many difficult, amazing things in her life. I guess the apple does not fall far from the tree. 🙂
- I can not swim and I am afraid of almost all animals
I guess both of these are pretty common black American stereotypes, but they are 100% true for me. I never learned how to swim and I was never around animals as a child, so now I am very scared of them, besides Fodo.
- I find almost 99% of things in life very funny
I think I am very funny, so I like to tell jokes often so everyone can laugh together. But most of the time, nobody thinks my jokes are funny, but I do, so I laugh anyway. I can easily laugh at my own jokes for a long time even if nobody else is laughing, its my favorite thing to do. I am not crazy, but sometimes, I laugh alone in my room at my own jokes or dancing. Hahahah
- Moving to Germany was the best decision I have ever made in my life
Since moving to Germany, I have had the most fun in my life. I have laughed so much. I have partied so much. I have met so many incredible people. I have traveled so much. The people that I have met since moving to Germany are the most funny, incredible, amazing, supportive, sexy, friendly, honest, wonderful people I have ever met!!
